A strong mind always hopes, and has always cause to hope.
- Thomas Carlyle
It is nearly impossible to attract more abundance if you do not feel at least a little bit hopeful. When you are overcome with feelings of despair, fear, or anxiety relating to money, it may seem impossible to generate a feeling of hope. Thomas Carlyle reminds us that two things are required:
- A reason to hope
- The mental strength to keep focusing on it.
Shifting your thoughts in this way is not too difficult but it does take a bit of determination. Start by thinking about one good thing that could happen in the near future to improve your situation. It could be a better job, a pay raise, an additional avenue of income. Then focus on that possibility with a feeling of hope and gratitude numerous times throughout each day. If feelings of fear or despair start to creep in again, renew your focus and intend that you will not lose hope no matter what. Before long you should start to see indications of more possibilities that do indeed make you feel hopeful, and over time see even bigger improvements.
Affirmation: Hoping is like sending an invitation for good things to flow into my life.
