Learn to dream again

There is nothing that breaks my heart more than to come across a woman who doesn’t have a dream.  Life has so much to offer, we have so much to offer, yet we are settlingfor what we think we deserve or what we think we should be doing rather than what we want to be doing. Every single one of us have a gift and there is someone out there waiting for YOU to share your gift.

When was the last time you actually sat in a quiet place and really connected to your inner self and asked yourself the question “What do I really want?”.  It is an eye opening experience, in fact sometimes we need to do that on a regular basis.  If things are not going the way you want them to, stop and ask.  If you find yourself feeling a little lost, again, stop and ask.

When you come across a person who is excited and loving life and loving what they are doing, it raises that awareness in your heart, and you start to wonder if you too could be that happy.  This is when it is time to sit down and learn to dream again.  Working in the cosmetic industry for over 10 years I would ask women that question “What do you dream about?” and so many times the answer was that they couldn’t remember the last time they had a dream, in fact, it was probably when they were a child.

Life throws us all kinds of curves – find that dream in your heart, and have the courage to go after it, it is there for a reason.  It won’t always be easy, life never is, but it will be so worth it. I came across this beautiful poem that really spoke to my heart, and I want to share it with you.

Climb ‘Til Your Dream Comes True –

Often your tasks will be many,

And more than you think you can do.

Often the road will be rugged

And the hills insurmountable, too.

But always remember,

The hills ahead

Are never as steep as they seem,

And with Faith in your heart

Start upward

And climb ’til you reach your dream.

For nothing in life that is worthy

Is ever too hard to achieve

If you have the courage to try it,

And you have the faith to believe.

For faith is a force that is greater

Than knowledge or power or skill,

And many defeats turn to triumph

If you trust in God’s wisdom and will.

For faith is a mover of mountains,

So, start out today with faith in your heart,
